What is the employment rate after graduation? Over 95 percent of our graduates find employment within six months of graduating. Many students have secured employment during their internships.
What is the pass rate for the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) certification exam among NIU students? In the last two years, all of our graduates passed the CRC certification exam on their first attempt. The national average passing rate in 2016 was 58-68 percent.
How long does it take to complete the program? The graduate program requires 48 credit hours and can be completed in two years. Part-time students usually complete the program in about three years.
How much does it cost to complete the program? The Office of the Bursar at NIU provides a planning and cost estimator. In addition, you will be required to cover some course-related expenses:

  • AHRC 690 (Advanced Practicum): $20
  • AHRC 694 (Internship): $50
