Autism Spectrum Disorder In-services, Workshops and Student Presentations

At NIU, we believe in connecting with our community and providing education to those wanting to learn more about autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

We provide in-service presentations on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to a wide range of groups and organizations including current or future health care or education professionals. This includes students studying nursing or early childhood education, local child care centers and first responders.

These in-services and workshops are led by our graduate student clinicians and supervised by faculty, as we hope to prepare them for their future professional careers. In these presentations, we discuss characteristics of ASD, neuro-affirming language, sensory considerations and tips relevant to specific professions.

Presentations may be in-person or virtual, depending on location, time and your needs. To request additional information about scheduling a presentation, please email us at asd@niu.edu.
