MLT to MLS Degree Completion Curriculum

The B.S. degree completion program is designed for clinical or medical laboratory technicians (CLT/MLT) who currently hold an associate's degree, appropriate certification, and necessary experience. MLT students who wish to earn the B.S. in MLS must fulfill all program prerequisite requirements and University general education requirements in addition to the three semesters of courses listed below. Please refer to the MLS section of the undergraduate catalog for more information.

  • AHLS 301 - Immunology/Immunohematology Lecture (2)
  • AHLS 302 - Hematology/Hemostasis Lecture (3)
  • AHLS 303 - Immunohematology Lecture (2)
  • UHHS 460 - Intro Rsch HHS (3)
  • AHLS 440 - Intro Teaching in the Allied Health Professions (1)
  • GEN ED (3) or prerequisite if needed

* Students may also take AHLS 300 Urinalysis (2) or AHLS 337 Micro Lab (1) if desired. Advisors will work with students to develop a plan.

  • Articulating MLT students are granted credit hours for professional practice
