We are proud to announce we now have a partnership with Lincolnshire Place in Sycamore. Two lucky NDHA students per semester will be able to complete their 100 hours of food service experience required for consideration to enroll in FCNS 320, Quantity Food Production. 100 hours opportunity with Chandelier Catering Corp - In addition to opportunities at Lincolnshire Place, we are also looking for a few good men and women to attain their 100 hours of work experience with the Chandelier Catering Corp here on campus. You will have the opportunity to work with catering events in the Chandelier Room, and will also have a chance to work in pre-prep with the FCNS 320 students for Ellington's. This provides you an invaluable opportunity to get a solid look at some of the things you will be doing in FCNS 320, and also gives you a chance to work with quantity food preparation and equipment specific to this operation. Nutrition & Dietetics
Students in the Nutrition & Dietetics major(B.S.) study all aspects of nutrition and foods. Students prepare for careers in community nutrition and food service management, as well as dietetic internships and meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (The Academy) didactic requirements. Graduates of the nutrition and dietetics emphasis may apply for an internship to become Registered Dietitians.
Graduate study in the M.S. degree program in Nutrition and Dietetics focuses upon applied human nutrition. This focus ranges from nutrition as a primary factor in health promotion and disease prevention in the community to medical nutrition therapy in health care facilities.
