Nutrition and Dietetics

Undergraduate students in the Nutrition, Health, and Wellness emphasis study all aspects of nutrition and foods. Students meet the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (The Academy) didactic requirements and prepare for careers in community nutrition and food service management as well as dietetic internships. Graduates of the Nutrition, Health, & Wellness emphasis may apply for an internship to become Registered Dietitians.

Graduate study in the M.S. degree program in Nutrition and Dietetics focuses upon applied human nutrition. This focus ranges from nutrition as a primary factor in health promotion and disease prevention in the community to medical nutrition therapy in health care facilities.
