The mission of the association is to educate the community about health and nutrition and to apply nutritional knowledge into community service projects. SDA focuses on giving back to the DeKalb community and gaining leadership skills and nutrition volunteer experience (which looks great on a résumé).
SDA participates in activities such as Crop Hunger Walk, Empty Bowls, NIU Wellness Fair, healthier bake sales, and many more!
