Dietetic Internship Admissions

There are several steps to complete for admission to our Dietetics Internship (DI) program. A DI is necessary to become a registered dietitian nutritionist. Be sure to review our applicant checklist (PDF).

1. Be admitted into the M.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics program.
2. Apply to the dietetic internship program with the Dietetic Internship centralized Dietetic Internship centralized Application Services (DICAS).
3. Mail your application notification (PDF) form and application fee to NIU, postmarked by Feb 15.
4. Apply to D&D Digital, allowing you to participate in a national computer matching for the Dietetic Internship program.

We accept applications in the spring semester using the online DICAS system. Applications to the dietetic internship coincide with D&D Digital computer matching deadlines.
