The mission of Hospitality and Tourism Management Program is to engage students in developing the foundational knowledge, demonstrated skills and professional attitudes required for contemporary and future practice or advanced study in the fields of hospitality and tourism.

The Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) at NIU provides a valuable career track for students interested in the variety of jobs in the hospitality and tourism industry. Our courses cover all aspects of the industry including: hotel operation, food service management, tourism management and meeting and event management. As a HTM major, you will take courses in general education, business knowledge, and hospitality & tourism management.
