An interdisciplinary team approach is available for children with developmental disabilities and their families.
A team approach to early intervention is based on our belief that the active participation of parents and family members in the evaluation and treatment process is critical. Family involvement enhances the application of the treatment plan into the child's daily Activities.
A team approach provides a cross-disciplinary analysis of your child's developmental level, learning style, and interaction patterns. This approach results in an integrated and functional portrait of your child's strengths and challenges. Team members will include family members and professionals from various disciplines such as speech-language pathology, audiology, counseling, and other fields as needed.
A parent-professional partnership will be used to create of treatment goals and apply the treatment strategies learned during the therapy sessions.
After these visits, all team members will help determine eligibility for services, ascertain developmental functioning, and develop intervention and curricular strategies.
